TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION CERTIFICATE

Travellers must have a Pure Safe Travel Certificate in order to travel to Grenada

A Pure Safe Travel Certificate is a travel authorization which grants the approved applicant authorization to travel to Grenada

  • You are required to retain either a printed or electronic copy of the authorisation as you will be required to provide it to check in prior to  boarding your flight or vessel to Grenada
  • If you intend to travel with other persons, including minors, each person must obtain a separate travel authorisation.
  • This is a Health Clearance Authorization to travel to Grenada. You will still be screened on arrival, and processed through immigration.

TESTS AND TRAVEL INSURANCE

All travellers over the age of 5 are required to have a negative PCR test taken within 3 days (72 hours) of travel to Grenada.

  • Visitors must have travel medical insurance that covers COVID-19 related illness
  • Residents and visitors on day 5 must do an RT-PCR test to be allowed into the community, or remain at the hotel for the duration of their visit
  • Residents and visitors on or after day 5 must receive confirmation of a negative PCR test and clearance from health officials in order to be permitted to leave their hotel to continue quarantine at their home/residence
  • All travellers to Grenada are required to pay a one-time $410 EC ($150) Coronavirus (COVID-19) test fee, which will cover their day-5 test or any other test taken on island. Children 5 years of age or younger are exempt from taking a Coronavirus (COVID-19) test unless they have been in contact with a positive case
  • Travellers can pay the test fee ahead of their trip through a simple, convenient and user-friendly online system, which can be accessed at pay.gov.gd. If unable or unwilling to pay through the online system ahead of the trip, all incoming passengers will be required to pay this fee at the Maurice Bishop International Airport upon arrival
BOOK RESERVATIONS

All travellers are required to have a confirmed reservation at an Approved Accommodation. Only persons granted written pre-approval after a process of verification will be allowed home quarantine upon arrival.

  • Make your reservations at approved Ministry of Health Approved/Pure Safe travel accommodations. A list of accommodations  have been inspected and certified, and are ready to welcome our visitors to Pure Grenada, Spice of the Caribbean
  • The duration of quarantine is 14 days
  • Travellers must have a minimum 7-day reservation at an approved accommodation for observation and quarantine
  • After release from an approved accommodation, all travellers will quarantine at their home or residence for the remaining 7 days (or to complete up to 14 days after entry into Grenada)
  • Apply for Home Quarantine at least 7 days prior to travel. Home Quarantine requests are made via the Pure Safe Travel portal

SELF MONITORING MOBILE APP
  • Download relevant contact tracing app and register prior to travel, the app is not available for iPhone users yet, and they are currently exempt from this requirement.
  • Ronatrac Mobile App is designed and developed for the Government of Grenada to provide Self-Health Assessment capabilities to citizens and visitors and to support with essential health services to strengthen the fight against COVID-19
  • The iOS version of the app is not currently available. Coming to the Apple Store soon.
ON ARRIVAL
  • All travellers will undergo health screening on arrival (symptom review, temperature checks, and testing if deemed necessary)
  • You will present your Pure Save Travel Certificate and your negative PCR test to Health Screeners for verification
  • You will proceed to Immigration for processing

DURING YOUR STAY

VISITORS

Guests staying at approved “Pure Safe travel accommodations” hotels and resorts will not normally be tested on arrival.

  • The guests will be transported to the accommodation using approved transportation and can continue their stay within the “Pure Safe Accommodation” without the requirement for further testing.
  • All visitors will undergo a COVID-19 PCR test on or after day 5
  • Visitors on or after day 5 must receive confirmation of a negative RT-PCR test and clearance from health officials in order to be permitted to leave their quarantine hotel, or to continue their stay in the “non-quarantine” section of the property
  • Upon completion of their vacation, the guests will be ferried to the airport using approved transportation to board their flights
  • During their stay, guests who wish to leave the “Pure Safe travel accommodations” and interact with the public, must have a PCR test done on or after the 5th day of their stay, and will be allowed to venture outside of the “Pure Safe Accommodation” if the results are negative

RESIDENTS

All travellers will undergo a COVID-19 PCR test on or after day 5 to exit from the Pure Safe travel accommodations (PCR results are usually ready within 1 – 2 working days). You are NOT cleared from quarantine until you are officially communicated to be health officials.

  • Persons testing negative will be allowed to leave the approved accommodation for their home or residence where they will continue to quarantine for the remaining 7 days (or to complete up to 14 days after entry into Grenada)
  • Persons testing positive, will have a repeat COVID-19 PCR test in 5 – 7 days and be released according to their result and the clinical assessment.

QUARANTINE AND ISOLATION

All travellers are required to quarantine for up to 14 days.

  • All travellers are required to quarantine for up to 14 days. You are not permitted to leave, or receive any visitors at the location where you are quarantined.
  • If at any time you test positive, you may be transferred to an isolation or treatment facility as determined by the Grenada Health Officials

Clearance Process for Quarantine

  • While in quarantine on day 5 you will be swabbed for a PCR test. The results take approximately one to two days.
  • Persons testing negative will be allowed to leave the approved accommodation for their home or residence where they will continue to quarantine for the remaining 7 days (or to complete up to 14 days after entry into Grenada)
  • You are not permitted to leave the Quarantine facility, or interact with any unauthorized person until this official clearance is received from the Quarantine Authority. 
  • After receiving medical clearance you must continue to self-monitor for the remaining 14 days using the self-monitoring App.
  • If your day 5 test is positive you will be required to remain in isolation at a designated facility (this may be your existing quarantine facility or another based on an assessment of risk)
